What is IDX?
IDX, short for Internet Data Exchange, also known as Broker Reciprocity, allows brokers and agents to display all properties listed in their MLS on their website (subject to the MLS and board's restrictions).
Why Do You Need IDX?
Having only your personal or your office listings displayed on your website is not enough. A recent survey by NAR revealed that approximately 70% of people using a realtor's website are looking to search for homes. NAR studies also reveal that 80% of ALL internet leads were generated through some kind of IDX solution. If you cannot give your visitors access to search the MLS, they will simply find another website that can. Not only does IDX put all active listings onto your website, it also removes the listing agent's contact information so that you no longer need to worry about losing leads by having visitors contact the listing agent directly instead of you.
